A Beautiful Nest Christmas

Happy New Year everyone!  We hope you had A Beautiful Christmas and a wonderful Holiday season. This holiday was very special for me.  I have a number of reasons but, I’ll share with you a few. One: My Family!! My family means the world to me and sharing these special memories with them will last a lifetime. Two: Launching this blog and Three: Allowing the Lord to shape me into the women he wants me to be.  A wonderful wife to an outstanding husband and mother to my beautiful children. Okay enough with the tear jerkers. We enjoyed every waking minute of it.
I truly believe that gifts don’t always come in packages.  Gifts are those blessings that you receive from our Creator to be able to bring smiles, cheer and joy.  Things that we do for others and the love and support we show to our friends and family are gifts worth giving.  When you are there for someone when they need you the most, when you share a laugh with someone, when you spend quality time with that special someone or when you help your little one solve a problem, that's a gift. Seeing our children smiles and appreciation for the things they receive is also a gift.  They work hard during the year and gift giving is their bonus.  A-Beautiful-Nest-Christmas-2014-Nerf
Our sons had a pretty extensive Christmas list and yes our daughter was a sweetheart she didn't ask for much but for things that were needed.   Here are some of the things the Blazen Bros heart:
  • The N Strike Elite Demolisher from Nerf
  • Super Smash Bros for the 3DS
  • Spacerails
  • Heelys
  • Beats by Dr. Dre
  • Hot Wheels Mutant Machines
  • Super Smash Bros for Wii U
  • Gaming Headphones (Dream Gear)
  • Sphero
  • Xbox One
  • Lego Dimensions
  • Disney Infinity 3.0
This year was lots of fun.   You can find some of their other picks here.A-Beautiful-Nest-Christmas-2014-on-the-floor-playing-games
My oldest son is playing Super Smash Bros Wii U and he loves it!  I must admit it is pretty cool! The graphics are amazing!  This year the game of choice was Lego Dimensions and Disney Xfinity 3.0. They really enjoy playing with their new Sphero!  If you haven't seen it you can find out about it here.
The boys made cookies for Santa!  We decided to make homemade sugar cookies and they were absolutely amazing!  If you would like to see how we made them check that out here.

I love the colors of the bokeh from this picture.  I wrote a post about getting to know my DSLR.  I learned that achieving bokeh, you know those little round balls of light in the background, well  you have to adjust your aperture settings on your camera as well as shutter speed and ISO.

We shared our Christmas Day with all of the grandparents and great-grandparents who pour their love on them.

It was truly a Beautiful Christmas!  We hope your family had a fantastic day as well!  Happy Holidays from the Kendrick Family!
