Getting to know my DSLR

Twas the night before Christmas and all through the house, me and my camera snapping about!  Sooo, I got myself a little gift!  Okay a BIG gift!  A DSLR Camera for my birthday/Christmas gift.  Over the coarse of learning this camera you will watch my photos progressively get better, I hope.  In the photo below I was playing around with the ISO, Aperture and Shutter Speed.  The key elements to a great photo, so I hear.  Don't forget I'm still learning.  So wish me luck!  Here are some photos that I've shoot.  Let me know what you think.  Just don't be to harsh, I'm learning.

I snapped this pic when I told the boys to smile and  say cheese and my youngest son started saying cheeeeeese, he's hilariously silly.  Somebody lost a tooth! Such Cutie pies, Santa's little helpers!

It’s so fun getting to know this camera!  I have a long road ahead of me to get my photography where I want it to be.  Be sure to capture your memories this season.  Scrapbook them, start a journal, and start that photo album that you keep saying your going to get to.  What camera do you use to capture your memories and do you have any tips to share?  Fill free to leave a comment below. I would love to know.  Happy snapping!
