(Video Tutorial) Homemade Flaxseed Gel

Homemade-Flaxseed-Gel-lower-titleHi Guys!  Here’s a little DIY if your into homemade hair products.  This gel is super easy to make and it only takes about 15 minutes to make.  I really enjoy making  and using this gel because it’s affordable and good for my hair!  I usually buy a large container of flaxseeds for about $5 bucks and the oils are an investment but they will last a long time.  You’ll get great use out of every single one of your oils don’t worry.
  Here’s what you’ll need:
Ingredients
  • Flaxseeds
  • Water
  • Jamaican Black Castor Oil:  It’s great for hair growth, strengthens the hair strands and provides super shiny hair.
  • Vitamin E Oil: Preserves the life of the gel, excellent source to promote hair growth and shine.
  • Rosemary essential oil:  Smells divine, excellent source to promote hair growth, stimulates the hair follicles, strengthens your hair.
Flaxseeds
Add a 1/2 cup of flaxseeds to 2 1/2 cups of water.  Stir the flaxseeds in the water and bring the seeds to a boil.  Turn the flaxseeds down on a medium setting so that they don’t boil out of the pot.Boiling-Flaxseeds
Stir your seeds constantly so that they do not stick to the bottom of the pot.  Let them boil for about 5 to 10 minutes or so.  You’ll know when the gel is ready when it starts clinging to your spoon.  Don’t let your gel get to thick it will be difficult for the gel to separate from the seeds, you want your mixture loose enough to strain.  Once you’ve reached the desired consistency, remove the gel from the stovetop.
